Human Resources Assistant

Independently perform administrative support in the Human Resources Department in one or more of a variety of Human Resource areas such as recruitment, benefit administration and/or payroll.
Essential Functions
Support production staffing levels ? job postings, recruiting, pre-screening, interview scheduling;
Conduct employee orientation sessions and process all related paperwork;
Process changes in employee status, pay and benefits;
Collect, enter and maintain employee data in Human Resources Management System and other Human Resources online applications;
Create and maintain various files for recordkeeping and reporting purposes in accordance with applicable regulations and Canam procedures;
Handle and respond to internal/external inquiries from a variety of sources for employee related information;
Coordinate various employee communications via bulletin boards, newsletters and assist with employee meetings;
Assist with organizing employee welfare activities such as social events, special benefits, civic involvement and employee recognition;
Maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in an effective manner with customers, coworkers, clients and supervisors;
Perform other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor.
Job Requirements:
High School diploma plus 2 years' experience in Human Resources;
Excellent communications skills, verbal and written;
Must possess the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel;
Exceptional organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail;
Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision and make sound decisions based on policy/company practice;
Proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Work Environment
Daily exposure to computer display screen in a general office environment.;
Occasional exposure to production area with airborne particles, loud noise, extremes of heat and cold.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
